Have you ever envied the fluidity and gracefulness of a dancer on the floor? You can be the object of envy too in the future when you come to learn dance with us. Whether you have two left feet, are a first-time dancer, or one who's out of practice, our experienced hands will bring out the natural poise and balance that's inherent to everyone.
The Champion Competition dancers have been teaching dance in and around Monrovia for over 30 years. Give us a chance to introduce you to the beautiful world of dance with our professional classes.
Express Yourself With Our Dance Forms
- American social ballroom (Foxtrot, Rumba, Cha-cha-cha, Salsa, Waltz, Nightclub Two-step)
- Western (Two-step, Line dance)
- East and West Coast Swing
Swing N Country specializes in working with bridal couples on their first dance and also with the entire wedding party. We provide father-daughter dance lessons as well. When you learn to dance from us, you'll impress others with your wonderful style and great footwork.
Spring Dance Classes
Beginning April 8 & 9, 2026
Wednesdays: Starts Apr. 8
7 pm EAST COAST SWING
Think Big Band and upbeat. It’s Energetic. No lifts or drops. Even contemporary music is used. No partner needed. Rotation is encouraged in class.
8 pm CHA CHA
It can be uptempo, but we’ll start slowly. American Social Style. Get your hips moving, and let’s GET LATIN!!.
Thursdays: Starts Apr. 9
7 pm COUNTRY LINE DANCE
Back by popular request. Great for new and experienced line dancers. Focused on the tried and true dances seen in all the clubs. Build your ‘vocabulary’ of patterns. Great exercise and fun.
8 pm COUNTRY TWO STEP
The basic partner country dance has a repetitive rhythm that doesn’t change. There are only 2 Turns!! No partner needed. Rotation strongly encouraged.
Classes are taught in series of 8 weeks.
Cost: $80 for Monrovia resident) / $90 (for non-resident) per person for each 8 week series. Register on line through the City of Monrovia, or the first night of class at the front desk.
Location: 119 W. Palm Monrovia 1 block west of Myrtle, 1 block south of Foothill.
Instructors: John and Katie Watson - champion dancers and retired competitors. Teaching in Monrovia for more than 30 years.
